Lincoln Hills Senior Softball League

General Meeting Minutes

April 7, 2009

The monthly meeting of the Lincoln Hills Senior Softball League was called to Order by President John Bush at 3:05 pm.  All Board members were present except Steve Russo.  The meeting was an informative meeting only as the necessary quorum was not achieved.  One new member was introduced to the membership present.

The minutes of the March 2009 General Meeting were approved as written by voice vote of the membership in attendance.

President Bush called on each individual Board Member to present their monthly report.

Montie Boatwright, Player Representative:  Discussed the first week of League play and stated that we have two players on the “waiting list” to become team players when the vacancies arise.

Stan Young, Commissioner:  Working on the ‘lip’ from the infield to the outfield.  He reminded the members present that Maintenance mows the field only once a week on Tuesday. The next AED/CPR class will be held in late April.  The games in June, July and August will now begin one hour earlier.  The Summer Schedule will be modified and placed at the Field bulletin board and on the League website.

Future League schedules will be created and posted as soon as they are approved so members can make vacation and travel plans.

Bruce Briggs, Treasurer and Sponsor Coordinator:  Gave the monthly report of financial status which was approved by a voice vote of the membership present.  Sponsor payment status was discussed due the difficult economic times.  One new promotional sponsor has been signed albeit at a reduced annual rate.

Dar Gallaway, 1st Vice-President:  Discussed finalized plans for Opening Day, Saturday, April 25th.  A plea for more baked goods from the membership was made as last year they were completely sold out two to three hours prior to the end of Opening Day.  Opportunity drawing prizes donations are coming end at a good pace.  Perhaps 75 to 80 prizes will be available.  Drawing protocol was discussed with an emphasis on tickets sold specifically on Opening Day.

Marty Rubin, 2nd Vice President:  No report this month.

No Old Business.  No New Business.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:35 pm.
