1. Call to Order
J. R.
Jackson, President, called the meeting to order at 3:08 pm. Board members present in addition to J. R.
Jackson were: Montie
Boatwright, Chris Berney, Barry Kendrigan, Vince Del Pozzo, John
Bush, and Bruce Briggs.

Committee Reports

Starting on Monday, March 10 the class will run for 10 sessions at Kilaga Springs in the fitness room.
·
Mondays at 4:00 pm and Wednesdays at 4:30 pm and a 2nd
session Mondays at 5:00 pm & Wednesdays at 5:30 pm.
·
Pitcher’s screen: J.R. asked
players to consider a screen for pitchers.

for New Members, Managers, Draft, One Day a Week Players – Vince Del Pozzo

Rules Committee, AED Certification, Full Count vs. 1 & 1 – John Bush
o Playing rules tabled.
o Can player rules will not change.
o Committee recommended elimination of 1 vs. 1
count: Motion made and approved (95 yes
votes – 17 no votes) to have a full count for the summer league. Game time will remain at 60 minutes with a 5
minute warning prior to the end of the game.
The home plate umpire will determine if the next inning should start or
game is concluded at 60 minutes.

Stan Young gave information regarding maintenance & preparation of
field. The “crew” of 6 guys arrive 1 ½
hours before the first game. Many thanks
to John French, Bob Kelly, Larry McMaster, Don Massey, Jim Wyatt, and
Stan.
·
City of Lincoln recreation is starting a new “senior” softball league
(50 & over) on Tuesday nights starting March 25. John Habein had
brochures for interested members.
Next general meeting:
Tuesday, March 11, 2008 -- 3:00 pm - Heights & Gables Room at
Orchard Creek Lodge.
