Instructional League 2008

Updated:  2/27/2008

Purpose:  To provide supervised training and instruction for Lincoln Hills Senior Softball League (LHSSL) members who are interested in discovering or renewing their interest in softball; or who just plain want to have a softball workout.

The primary focus is directed toward new or inexperienced players who may have been away from softball for years or never played at all.  The training is at a pace that will accommodate players at any skill level, including league members who would like to come out and work on a specific part of their game.

Each workout will have some basic demonstrations and drills with “live” hitting practice, throwing, fielding, and running bases.  We also cover rules and regulations.  Participants can take part at a pace suitable to their interests and capabilities.

When:  Every Thursday from 2 PM – 4 PM at Del Webb Field during the Summer League Season (dates to be announced).

Requirements:  LHSSL application, insurance and medical forms completed and returned to League officials with a check for $55.00 (full membership), or $25.00 for Instructional League only.

Full membership entitles you to league play in both summer and winter leagues during 2008, the Instructional League, and various other league activities.  Forms may be found at Del Webb field or downloaded from this web page lhssl.org.

Equipment:  Bring your own glove and appropriate softball shoes.

                      Bats and balls are provided.
